Delete your account

This page explains how to permanently delete your Unmapped account and everything associated with it.

There are two ways to do it. You do not need to have the app installed.

1. Delete in the app

Settings → Delete Account

Open Unmapped and sign in.
Go to Settings.
Tap Delete Account and confirm.

Deletion begins immediately and your session ends. This cannot be undone.

2. Delete by email

If you've already uninstalled the app

Email privacy@getunmapped.app from the address associated with your account, with the subject Account deletion request.

We will verify that you control the account, action the deletion, and confirm by email. Requests are actioned within 30 days, and normally far sooner.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

Your account record, sign-in identity, and email address
Your profile — nickname and avatar
Your recorded movement data, including GPS traces and the map area you revealed
Your territory coverage, statistics, distance, level, and achievements
Your friends, friend requests, and leaderboard entries
Push-notification tokens for your devices
Your waitlist entry, if you signed up with the same email address

What is retained, and for how long

Analytics already sent to Firebase — usage events carry no name or email, but are tagged with your account identifier. We cannot retroactively remove them from Firebase; they are retained under Google's policy (up to 14 months) and then deleted. Once your account is gone, the identifier no longer refers to anything.
A deletion audit record — the event type, the timestamp, and the internal identifier of the deleted account. No name, email, location, or content. We keep it to prove we honoured your request, which is itself a legal obligation.
Records we are legally required to keep — if any apply, for the minimum period the law requires.

Nothing that identifies you is retained beyond these.

Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it separately at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions, or on iOS in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
